Understanding AI Vital Signs
What every clinician needs to know
Introducing our signature workshop aimed at empowering clinicians to navigate the new future of AI in patient care.
Why do clinicians need to know about AI?
Maximize benefits & minimize risks
Join AI conversations & influence decisions
Address fears & increase confidence
Recent survey findings from Rock Health and the American Academy of Family Physicians reveal that while more than 90% of survey respondents have tried or are open to trying AI solutions in primary care, 81% want more training to fully trust these solutions in clinical settings. Despite interest in these technologies, over 60% of family physicians said they currently have limited or no input on AI procurement decisions.

Overview
AI is rapidly transforming patient care, with applications including medical scribing, clinical decision support, and administrative workflows. Simultaneously, AI introduces the potential for misinformation and exacerbating biases and inequities. Clinicians need fundamental AI literacy to advocate for its safe and effective use—maximizing benefits and minimizing risks to their practice and patient care.
Our workshop, "Understanding AI Vital Signs: What Every Clinician Needs to Know," prepares clinicians to lead this transformation rather than be left behind. This 90-minute interactive workshop frames AI concepts through a familiar clinical lens, aligning core AI components with ‘vital signs.’ We'll explore practical methods to assess these vital signs when evaluating AI tools for patient care. Participants will gain the confidence to enter AI conversations and take the first steps toward triaging AI tools for clinical practice.

Hear from our lighthouse client
"As our residency’s AI faculty champion, I was very impressed with the ZRF Group's presentation ‘Understanding AI Vital Signs: What Every Clinician Needs to Know.’ The ZRF Group team provided a detailed outline of their workshop and was extremely adaptable in applying their AI Vital Signs framework to AI tools that are relevant to our learners' practice setting. The content of their workshop built on itself in an understandable and approachable way for learners with a wide variety of experience utilizing generative AI… I really appreciated their key learning points, including outlining the difference between the different "types" of AI, search engines and AI chatbots, and using the development of a common medication as an analogy in describing the development of AI tools... We would be thrilled to have the group present on healthcare AI topics again in the future!"
