Zainab Shipchandler, MPH, MCHES

Zainab is a health education specialist passionate about helping families access and navigate the information and resources they need to take charge of their health goals. Zainab has a decade of experience in health literacy promotion for communities and training for healthcare professionals.

She is committed to supporting birthing people and their children. Zainab provided community-based prenatal education at the leading pediatric health system in North Texas. She also has developed maintenance of certification assessments for OB-GYNs alongside academic physicians. She currently serves on Dallas County’s Fetal Infant Mortality Review Team, providing recommendations on improving prenatal services in the region. 

Zainab’s personal experience as a chronic disease patient, parent of 2 young children, and health resource for her family and faith-based community informs her work. 

Zainab holds a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from Rice University, with a minor in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. She completed her Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health at the UTHealth School of Public Health.
